I need a big game from Moore to pull off an upset
He has acquited some good players. He has failed to match his players to his coaches
Wonder what kind of defense they ran and who the former head coach might have mentored?
If they revamp the organization as they should and rhe head coach wants to keep Fields and let the rookie sit for a year or until Fields gets hurt, I would be fine with it.
I agree. The cupboard isn’t bare like it was for Grossman, Cutler, Trubisky, and Fields in their first year. This is just another reason to get the whole franchise aligned. President > GM > HC > QB. Then get a Center. If they can, try to improve at LT, RG, and WR
Lovie inherited Grossman
I could see Flus coming there and dancing like the kids from the Charlie Brown Christmas special
Forget us. Let’s see the .01% scenario of the Eagles and 49ers missing the playoffs play out
There have been some as others have listed. The reason I want it to happen is more to signify that this organization has changed and won’t tolerate losing anymore. It’s about sending a message to the fans, to the players, to future coaches, that this organization demands excellent and won’t tolerate failure. They can scout Ben Johnson and other candidates. Watch him live in the game. They can comb through the college ranks and watch those coaches. They can see if there are any coaches worth trying to keep around. They can see how the players respond to different coaching. There may not be a direct correlation to future success by firing the head coach mid-season, but there is no downside.
The Chicago Bears should swap picks with the Bears for a 2025 1st round pick.
I Flus stays they could draft A 23 year old Tom Brady, and I wouldn’t care. Flus is the biggest problem. They can’t solve anything else until he is gone. He has shown that he does 2 things ok. Run defense and not lose the lockeroom. That’s it. Name 1 other thing he does well? It’s so frustrating that he is still here. The evaluation is complete. Sure, he could change. So could any player or coach. Facts are facts. He has the worst record of any coach in Bears history. If that’s not enough, he hasn’t won a single division game. If that’s not enough, how about all the blown leads. If that’s not enough, how about all the penalties. If that’s not enough, how about all the blown coverages and players that seemingly don’t know where to line up. None of the other conversations matter until Flus is gone. I can make this same kind of pros and cons list for Fields and Fields. I would certainly have cons, but he would have a lot more pros than Flus. If Warren wants to flush them all, I don’t care. But the absolute worst mistake this franchise could make is keeping Flus and then drafting another QB, and there is a growing narrative that it might happen, and it makes me sick.
Yeah, they care about winning in the modern NFL. This is evident by their always competitive team and multiple Super Bowls. The Bears don’t care about winning. Unless Warren changes the culture, that’s what the Bears will always be under George’s leadership. If Warren doesn’t do it our only chance is that we get really lucky.
Hightower. His unit is performing. He has experience with the entire team.
I’m going to go against the grain and say we keep Getsy at OC for the remainder of the season. I think he is shit but I also think that Flus could be fucking up the game plan with his overly conservative mindset. Probably not, but with 6 games left, there would be time to evaluate that and nobody is going to come in and drastically alter the offense anyways
Is Edmunds playing?
This is the underlying stat that I think is in our favor for getting Flus fired. Not only has he not won, but they also haven’t been very competitive. Somebody asked the sub yesterday what it would take for you to accept Flus getting another year. For me, it’s going at least 3-1 in these final four division games.
If the team was practicing what was being preached it would go a long way. I expected takeaways, sound tackling, low penalties, and discipline on defense at a minimum. You don’t need super-stars for those things other than maybe takeaways. They have not delivered there at all. That’s where it starts.
I want see them beat a few teams big and keep their foot on the jugular the entire time.
I want to see a come from behind win on the last drive.
3 wins against opponents in the division.
From all reports, we offered him a better contract, and he left anyway. That’s fine for him to choose, but I don’t understand why he would be salty about the Bears. I liked him as a bear. If he wants to manufacture some fake drama then fuck him. That’s just dumb. It’s not like he was legendary for us. He was a well-rounded back that didn’t excel in any category. Im sure he is still the same guy but in a better system and with a better line. Our run D is actually decent, so we’ll see what he can do. If he shreds us, so be it. I’m all aboard the, let’s get these coaches fired train, so anything that’s embarrassing for them is a win.
Whose the coach?
I want to watch the Bears win, but I also really want that to happen in a way in which Flus still gets fired at the end of the year. There is nothing Flus can do to redeem himself for me, but I don’t think the front office feels the same way.
