Punt our coaches to the next galaxy over. Keep the rest.

What im seeing is a pretty decent team that needs better coaching/discipline.

Getsy needs to be hung in the streets for calling the amount screens he did last night

5 more weeks of Chicago Bears football this year. Enjoy it while we’ve got it, happy to see a win.

Justin Fields is on the verge of passing Tyson Bagent’s regular season win total. I think he can pull it off.

Justin fields is the most mediocre, hyper athletic qb I’ve ever seen. He always manages to disappoint and give people reasons to doubt. How on earth do you fumble the ball this many times into a 3 year career?

Honestly, the fact he led that drive to the FG kick and win, that was great. However, the fumbles and the total of 12 points after 4 turnovers by the Vikings is terrible and can’t be excused with just that last drive. Like others have said last night, if this was Jordan Love out there instead of Fields, literally everyone would have been saying bust out there.

Caleb at 1 and MHJ at 3 would have been the dream, but that took a hit last night. So it’s probably Caleb at 1 and OL wherever our second pick lands now.

New coaching staff and sign even some halfway decent FAs and that’s pretty much it. Rest of the team is honestly fine to compete. Coaching and QB are the most important parts of this game and we have both wrong right now - look at the Texans turning it around in one year after getting both right.

While it’s unlikely that whoever we draft is as good as Stroud is right away - we also have a much better potential situation talent wise for a rookie QB to step into compared to Houston.

DJ Moore is an absolute stud - putting up 1000 yards already this year while being thrown to by Fields and Bagent is fucking impressive.

Whole new coaching staff, draft MHJ first, LT next, Center in the 3rd. Go after another Edge, figure out the DB situation, IF Fields does more of the same next year hope that there is a great QB in next years draft. This might not fix them in 1 offseason but hopefully begin the process with a steady O-Line

Absolutely not - the Bears have talent, we just need a QB. If we hit on the draft at QB (obviously that’s the key to everything and no easy task) and then grab a center and another WR the offense could be quite good on offense very soon.

    Fields…

    The Good

Setting up the game winning FG with a strike to DJ

The 4th and 10 to Kmet

    The Bad

    Fumble #1

Standing and staring in one of the best pockets you’ll see in the NFL and missing wide open guys. Two plays in a row. They’re very lucky neither got hit for intentional grounding.

    The Ugly

    Fumble #2. Woof

And the pass to Moore wasn’t even anything special, dude was wide ass open, every QB in the league should make that throw 9.5/10 times. His bad plays that most QBs don’t make greatly outweigh the good plays that not many QBs can make.

Use your words little guy. Youre telling me if Fields misses that pass youre saying to yourself “thats okay, it was a tough throw. Not many qbs couldve done that”?

He makes the throw… nothing special. He misses… told you he sucks. No matter what happened, you’d phrase it in what ever way suited your point.

I’m developing a Take, which is that a lot of times when the screens fail it seems to be because Mooney missed a block

This game changed nothing about my opinion on Fields. He’s still inaccurate on throws, doesn’t show good awareness in the pocket, and doesn’t seem to be able to go through his progressions to find the open man. He doesn’t “throw guys open” or hit the back shoulder of his WRs.

I’m looking for things that can’t be blamed on getsy when evaluating him. A lot of his issues are simply that he’s not great at throwing the ball.

I do give him some credit for winning the game in the end though, but not much.

If you use the sample size of the last 2 games which is acceptable to prove my points, anything less than 3.5 interceptions is a loss. Any more is a win. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

It took some thought and consideration to say this: we may be seeing the inklings of yet another great defense.

There is intensity There is camaraderie There is a pass rush There are turnovers

It took less thought and consideration to say fire Getsy into the sun right now. I can guarantee you that he taught Aaron Rodgers nothing. How’d he fail upwards

Greetings fellow travelers. I have just returned from the future and I am here to tell you how this all plays out.

This Bears team manages to squeeze out a couple of more wins behind and vastly improved defense. Eberflus is retained as the head coach but Luke Getsy is let go at the end of the season and is replaced by a guy that Flus met once while shopping for a new pair of khaki pants at Old Navy.

The team trades Justin Fields to the Atlanta Falcons for a third round pick and goes on to draft Caleb Williams with the first overall pick.

JF immediately improves to the point where Bears fans keep screaming “where was this Fields when we had him?” The Falcons become consistent playoff contenders and make the playoffs 6 times but only going as far as the NFC Championship game. Fields eventually retires as too many injuries slow him down.

Meanwhile in Chicago it’s the same thing as always. CW struggles. He has the same sorts of ups and downs except that he’s an emotional basket case and is driven out by the fans and media after he is caught on video saying that In and Out is better than Portillos.

We all go on to die before ever getting the chance to see this team good again.

Dont even get me started on that pass to Mooney when Fields scrambled out to the left side and threw a straight hospital ball to Mooney who might caught it and ran it some more if it was a better pass

You mean that DIME that he threw?!?! It was so hard and had such a tight spiral it was clearly a great throw, Mooney must’ve quit on the route or something. Didn’t try to jump high enough to catch it, probably diva’d it or something because Justin certainly wouldn’t have just overthrown someone like that…
