The Bears desperately need a franchise QB. If there’s any debate about Fields, then he’s not the guy. Keep him for another year maybe, but you have to keep trying for that franchise QB until you find him.

This game changed nothing about my opinion on Fields. He’s still inaccurate on throws, doesn’t show good awareness in the pocket, and doesn’t seem to be able to go through his progressions to find the open man. He doesn’t “throw guys open” or hit the back shoulder of his WRs.

I’m looking for things that can’t be blamed on getsy when evaluating him. A lot of his issues are simply that he’s not great at throwing the ball.

I do give him some credit for winning the game in the end though, but not much.
