We see the plays, we know that the OL is protecting him often enough, and we see him bail on clean pockets often enough, that the “his ability to evade pressure increases his time to throw”. Fields evades pressure that he creates for himself by not throwing the ball.

Fields has the longest time to throw in the NFL. He’s regularly creating problems for himself with awful pocket awareness. On one of the first plays of the game he rolled out and nearly walked right into a rusher that kmet was desperately trying to block away from him.

Getsy and Fields just made the case for getting rid of both easier last night. This truly sucks. I’d rather Fields is the guy and we don’t need to go back out into the QB jungle it’s clearly not where it has to be right to comfortably call him the future of the club.

It’s hard to judge Fields for the 95% of shit he put together, but all that matters is that he totally obliterated the doubts on the single play that he barely managed to do something good

Because we watch the games and see that whenever he is given intermediate, “read the field” kinda plays he either sits in the pocket for 4 seconds before rolling out and throwing away, dumps it off to a running back for 2 yards, or rushes for 6 yards (its 3rd and 10 and Mooney is open 20 yards downfields). Then becomes more of an offensive threat for the opposition as soon as the 4th quarter hits.

Getsy needs to go, but its disingenous to act like the neutered playcalling isn’t in part influenced by the lack of faith Fields has shown should be placed in him.

And on the field, I hope Fields remembers that 6 rushers are more bodies than 5 linemen and reacts accordingly.

Can’t wait to get MHJ and committing to Fields so Fields has more guys to turn down and scramble instead.

Unsure where you got that narrative for the Bucs game, that was the one where Fields’ had some of his most egregious turn downs and sacks (including a TD) when the ball was in his hands.

The narrative of the Broncos game was horrendously awful situational playcalling by Getsy/Flus and bad ball security by Fields.

Because there’s 34 games of evidence to base our opinion on rather than just this one.
