Screw the ´the Bears are 10 players away from being 10 players away´ quote

This team is a 2nd good pass rusher, center and a WR away from being a playoff locked team.

Get rid of Eddie and Whitehair, their contracts are not worth the return & use it to pay a pass rusher… look at the difference Sweat makes and what having a single decent pass rusher does for your team. Need a 2nd and the defence is set. We have nice pieces at DT and in the secondary

Offence also isnt missing much. Need consistency at the center position and a 2nd weapon next to DJ Moore.

Replace this terrible coaching staff and I dont see how we cant contend in this TERRIBLE NFC. I know we are having a rough year, but look at the state of the entire NFC. There are 2 elite teams in the 49ers and Eagles, 2 good teams in the Lions and Cowboys. Any other team isnt in that much of a better state than we are going forward

This is exactly my feel. I look at a lot of teams who win and I don’t see them have much better talent we have.

I sometimes tune in on the after show and Alex Brown always talks about the players not being good enough. I’m like, have you seen who the Vikings are playing with?

They are more than one pass rusher away. Come on. They are dead last in basically every pressure stat and adding Sweat might push them up to bottom 5 at best.

WR opens another hole next year because Mooney will probably be gone.

      The secondary blows.

QB is still a question mark until he can put together at least one comeback drive. Just one.

Yes the coaching staff is terrible but I definitely remember the “replacing nagy is worth 3 wins alone” argument that busted too.

I think Jaylon and Gordon are starters on 80% of all teams. I think saying our secondary blows is just straight up wrong

Stevenson will have a lot to proof, but he is a rookie playing a difficult position on a team that has failed to create pressure all year. Him and our secondary really are playing the game on hard mode currently

Edit: also Terrell Smith was very promising. In my mind corner is one of the only positions I´m ignoring all offseason.

You are right about QB is a question mark. Currently I dont have an outspoken opinion and the rest of the season will determine everything

The secondary is unable to stop anyone on 3rd down, for any reason, in any situation. They are 32nd in the league. Dead last. Whether or not that’s the complete lack of pass rush or an ass secondary I don’t know, but I do know that a 32nd ranked pass rush, a 32nd ranked red zone percentage, and 32nd in sacks is FAR from “just a few players away”

3rd down is a scheme problem. The cover 2 sucks giant dick and is easy to move the ball on. It’s hard to get of the field on 3rd down when the defense is designed to let people get yards to prevent TD’s

Why are the Bears 26th in Passing Yards allowed, 30th in Passing TD allowed, and 24th in Net Passing Yards per Attempt if the secondary is so good?

Why did the Lions go for 148 yards, mostly through the air, and 2 TDs in a total of 3 minutes and 20 seconds of game time in the 4th?

100% and glad people are noticing. Outside of the coach hires Poles is building a good team. And shock, sometimes when you build through the draft it takes young players lots of game time to develop.

Outsider pretty much who watched the game.

You guys aren’t really that far from having a good team the core is here just need to get a new coach and have that coach work with the potential QB you should hopefully land on in the draft.

Funny how fans of every other team can see we should be pursuing a QB in the draft, and yet our own fanbase has a civil war over sticking with Fields.

We will become more of a laughing stock than we already are if we pass on Williams or Maye and stick with Fields. I can already see the graphics on SNF now, just like the ones comparing Mitch to Mahomes and Watson

The blame falls squarely on the fans. Pumping the McCaskeys with cash year after year. They hire vanilla coaches, inexperienced GMs, and mediocre players. Fans fall for the off-season hype generated by the Bears propagandist. Who will spin a mediocre roster, if they dare say the team isn’t good fans attack them personally on social media and Bears PR blackballs them from doing their job. The McCaskey’s have been selling the 85 Bears for nearly 40 years and the rubes keep buying it.

Sorry man, did you watch the game? How exactly are you “fighting the power” here?

Listen, I just want to cheer for a football team not start a political movement and take down the man. We’ve all got enough “real” problems in our life then to turn this into some revolution I’ve got to deal with. Again, it’s entertainment. If you don’t like it watch something else but don’t blame us watching the game for the loss. I can’t stand this logic.

Yet again, we sit back and watch as Flus and Getsy fuck this team. Flus defense is so soft they all need their anal glands expressed. Then Flus goes on to say that the players need to execute better and “The disappointment was the finish”. Well Flus, none of us got to finish, we all got to watch you blow your load all over our team though! Getsy, my god, we have the best athlete on the field in JF1 and we have the best WR on the field in DJ Moore, so when the game is on the line you call uninspired runs up the gut when EVERYONE in the bulinding/nation KNOW’s that is what you’re gonna do, TWICE!?!? Spread the defense a little? The one time it might have actually made sense to call one of your stupid fucking screens you don’t? Is there anything, anything AT ALL happening in that head of yours?

They should both be arrested for rape because that’s exactly what they did to my Bears yesterday.

In Fields’ last 4 games (3.5 considering the injury) he’s got 1076 total yards, 9 TD and 3 TO. If you break that down to a per-game average, that’s 270 YPG, 2 TD and 1 TO.

If you asked ANYBODY before the season started whether they’d take 270 and 2 TD per game they would be over the moon.

Fields has 1,711 total yards on the season; 1,370 passing and 341 rushing. That’s a bit more than 244 yards per game.

There are TWELVE QBs in the league with more than 244 yards JUST PASSING per game.

That list? C.J. Stroud, Tua Tagovailoa, Kirk Cousins, Sam Howell, Jared Goff, Patrick Mahomes, Brock Purdy, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott and Matthew Stafford. (That’s not even including QBs whose passing + rushing per gam is higher than Fields’.)

Fields is at 195.7 passing yards per game. That’s 24th in the league. Zach Wilson is 25th, 1.3 yards per game behind Fields. Zach Wilson!!!

OK but he hasn’t played 3.5 games this season, he’s played 7. All QBs have good and bad streaks, that’s why you need to look at their performances over time.

Right and you also look at trends. And the trends show he was bad to start the season was very good for 2 games, had a half of a bad game and was very good again. I’d say playing like a top 10 QB in 3 of his last 4 starts is a great trend. It’s better than him being shit in those games.

JJ won’t get the elite money he wants.

JFmay have learned more watching Bagent play than what Getsy’s teaching taught him.

Flus seems to be a players coach, but not able to coach a team to victory.

I think JF our QB next year and we have a new coaching staff again.

If the coaching staff (Eberflus) is as bad as we all believe it to be, it’s imperative to give Justin a shot to succeed under a different regime, even if it’s only for the final stretch of the season. At this point there’s nothing to lose.

To think during the game I let thoughts of keeping Eberflus would be okay creep into my head. This team is so soft and has no fight or aggression. Can’t win football games that way. Teams take on the personality of their head coach and we keep hiring losers.
