I’m tired of throwing young QBs into a dumpster fire

This has been repeated endlessly. Here is what our offensive personnel will include next year: Wright and Jenkins on the OL. Moore, Mooney, Kmet in the receiving corps. Roschon, Herbert/Foreman in the backfield. Even if you don’t believe in Braxton at LT that makes 3 OL spots max that need to be upgraded, which we have ample resources to do in free agency and the draft. What part of this offense is a “dumpster fire” for a rookie QB to step into next year?

As long as we fire Getsy and bring in a new offensive coach, I don’t understand the idea that we’re throwing the next QB into a total mess and expecting him to fix it all singlehandedly.

  • I just want to address this one point that has been driving me nuts. NOBODY IS CALLING WILLIAMS “GENERATIONAL.”

There have only been 4 “generational” QB prospects ever: Elway, Manning, Luck, and Lawrence. There are no pundits calling Caleb one of them. As a prospect he is/has been rated on par with Cam Newton and Joe Burrow when they were coming out of college. Which is MUCH better than Fields was rated. This is the opinion of pro football analysts, people who watch film, people who do this for a living that have no bias one way or the other.
