It’s crazy if somehow we pull out a win. We could be a 8-11 place NFC team.

No, soonest is if everyone else keeps winning Bears lose is week 13 during bye due to catching up on games played to be even with the field.

Otherwise last I saw from a NYTs simulator if Bears go 5-2 (Ls being Browns and at Detroit) have a 25% chance to make the playoffs.

Bears in the playoffs this year may hurt us emotionally more than this season already has…

unless we ride the hottest streak of all time, momentum from riding a wave changes the odds suddenly sometimes. I wouldn’t bank on that though unless we find ourselves already somehow there

Why? Offenses need to be installed in the off-season, there’s not enough time to teach and run his offense atm.

Because Dorsey also has to want to come To Chicago. I’m sure what Dorsey wants is to go form one turnover prone QB to another.

Shane Waldron is my 2nd favorite choice for HC after Ben Johnson should the Bears fire Eberflus. I think what he did with Geno Smith is impressive.

I would still prefer a proven commodity like Harbaugh, but after him I’d take either of those two.

Underperforming coaches being fired left and right in college and the NFL and we’re still stuck with Eberflus and Getsy. FO needs to grow a pair sack these clowns yesterday.

We don’t have a viable on-staff option to replace them. This coaching staff is a clown car top-down.

I’m in a huge money survivor pool and will be picking the Jags instead of the Lions this week, probably to my own peril. I can’t create a situation where I’m rooting against the bears and my delusional brain, even after all this time and so much evidence, believes we will somehow magically beat a vastly superior team because magic.

It pains me as well, but I don’t have the heart to start the Lions D/ST (even though I think they’ll do just fine lol). I hate going against the Bears. I’m lucky to have the Browns D/ST though, so I’m rolling with them

When I used to be a part of pickem/fantasy leagues I never had a problem picking against the Bears or starting players against the Bears, my thinking was if the Bears do well and win I’m happy, if they suck and lose at least I profited from it

Erik Kramer on the status of the Bears

Dude shares my opinion on a lot. He doesn’t necessarily think Maye & Williams are above everyone else, so if they can find a guy they like in the late 1st or the 2nd, they should trade down and add as much talent as possible to the offense. He also said we’ve seen enough of Justin Fields and he needs to go.

The only reason to keep Fields is if you want to keep the rookie off the field.

Realistically Maye or Williams may not work out. But also Fields has not worked out. I have opinions but I’m not an expert on these things. Vegas however is. The points went from lions minus 10.5 with Bagent starting to lions minus 9 with fields starting. If the bears move on they will have a rookie contract at the qb position for more years allowing to add better players at other positions without being hamstrung by a large qb contract.

Has Fields won a game in his first 3 years against a good team with a starting qb that wasn’t a rookie or backup?

He beat a 10-7 Raiders team with Derek Carr in 2021. That’s it. I guess the 49ers game last year technically counts? 49ers went 13-4 but Trey Lance made his 3rd career start that game. Also, a fucking hurricane helped the Bears win that game lol.

People are skeptical about Poles, but what he’s done so far at the QB position is actually pretty good. Hopefully Bagent is more than just a dumb luck signing and instead a reflection of good scouting.
