You can be a star stat machine in college and never be given a true shot in the NFL. Kellen Moore is a prime example, for BSU he is numbers wise top 10 to ever play in the NCAA but went to Lions as an UDFA. He has an amazing football mind but is not truly physically gifted to make the jump to the NFL. The reason why he stuck around for so long was as a backup he essentially was a player coach. Then immediately after his one shot and tearing his ACL in DAL, he became the coach we know now.

Another prime example of how stats aren’t everything, Calvin Johnson a top tier WR. Went to the triple option school of GT. Wasn’t ever seen as a great WR due to limited stat pool and looks. Then look at what he did for DET as well.

Do like how Cole has been developing. Contract is already proving worth it, seeing top TEs age like Wine will be nice to see year over year growth.

Hard to push the ball down the field, when you have a coach calling nothing but screens. Flores isn’t dumb, he went fine we’ll rush 7-8, beat us with it then. Whenever they tried to push down the field it was in obvious downs and WRs were always covered. Meanwhile you have a running game that was averaging 4 a carry stopped calling it for a screen.

What many fail to understand. 80% of all drafted players are considered busts or misses. With the average career in the NFL is 4 years, most never get a 2nd contract. That is more of an indicator than anything else.

Where 1st is general immediate impacts. 2nd, backups to eventual starters. 3rd depth with chance of start. 4th - 7th hands in air. Can be good, can also be situation never make it out of final cuts.

I personally want there to be two selections and it is consistent across the league. If you choose turf it is this 1 company and 1 config, if grass 1 blend of seed. That way it can create more of a consistent test criteria of variables.

Then in say 5 years if turf is main culprit. Everyone gets grass.

Without 1 Specific person lined up right this second. In this teams current structure no it doesn’t unfortunately make sense to fire. Due to lack of people to step up into OC, DC and HC spot. One of those have to wait for Black Monday. Because you would need to fire Eberflus and Getsy at the same time.

The one person I am referring to is Jim Harbaugh. Even that has complexities because gotta buy out his contract and pass through Michigan to essentially release him and Big 10 the same.

Really Getsy is just a terrible schemer and play designer. Can’t remember the RB the play but should have 100% been assigned to assist Darnell with Cole split out. If Cole lined up next to Darnell should have chipped then go.

Eddie like Cody passed that razors edge this offseason of still hacking it in the NFL. They are here more or less for veteran presence. Both will probably be cut then eat the dead cap next year but ultimately saving 14 mil combined.
