Yeah and that stat also just means he’s running a lot.

I think Fields is improving in the aspect of reading defenses, and taking fewer sacks. That’s been his major issue.
The question isn’t if Fields is the guy or not. It’s about weather the team is better off with Fields and a better team because of the trade down draft haul, or having a rookie qb and less picks to improve the team.
It seems to be logical to let Fields get year 4 and have a great team.
He’s literally Jalen Hurts and they are the best team in the NFL
I don’t think that is true though. All the top teams built their teams first, then got the Qb. Ravens, Niners, Cowboys, Eagles, Chiefs, etc
Many won’t admit it, but Fields is developing and improving and deserves to play out his contract.
You mean the team that calls two runs on a 4th quarter drive and puts us in 3rd and long is normal and the qb is supposed to just sling it?
You mean the team that calls the same screen play 3 times isn’t partly responsible for the team seeing it and intercepting it?
You mean the team that has a defense that lets up 30 points a game and the offense has to pass all game and one of the drives needed for a TD to lose 43-42 is the QBs fault?
Stats without context aren’t telling the truth.
Yeah I think JT was off on a few of the plays he said Justin missed.
Drafting a QB makes a lot more sense in 2025. We can afford to be patient with Fields, but if someone that Poles likes drops for some reason then I say we draft him.
I’d rather stack the team for Fields, and if he doesn’t get to the level we need in 24 or 25 then we draft a qb into our now stacked team.
Oh that’s good to know. The 25% just me be effective trolls then.
I’m in a few Bears forums, this one is definitely the largest anti Fields trolls I’ve seen. It seems this forums is about 50/50 like/hate Fields. Most others ones I’m in is lucky to be 10% against Fields.
What I keep going back to are the teams that in the playoffs every year and going far in the playoffs without elite QB play. They all focus on team building first through the draft and then they get the QBs that drop to them.
The Chiefs before Mahomes. The Eagles before Hurts. San Fran before Purdy. The Ravens before Lamar.
The blueprint is there. Keep collecting talent in the draft and let the qb drop to you because you have a boatload of picks and can do it.
This is why I think the Bears keep Fields and trade back. It allows them to further stack their team and take a Qb that drops to them if Fields doesn’t pan out in year 4 or his 5th year extension year.
We don’t have to rush into a qb pick this year. We can be patient with Fields, stack the team and then ounce in 25 or 26 draft if a qb drops to us.

Fields has had a better year than Lawrence and Hurts. Fields is currently the best performing qb from the 2021 class.
If a new coach comes in and says he can’t win with Fields then this coach isn’t the new coach and you interview the next guy.
For every qb if you ignore the bad good games it makes them all look worse. It’s a bad take.
Been a great QB in last 17 games. Over 100 rating and 35 TDs
He’s already playing good, his stat line the last 17 games is comparable to Hurts. The question is does the front office think Caleb is better than Fields?
They got lucky. Had they had 1.1 they’d have drafted Caleb Williams, errr I mean Bryce Young.
Teams with mobile QBs average 39% of play calls in roll outs and play action passes.
Our team is under 20%.
Getsy is trying to make Fields into Rodgers.
This post has been great at figuring out who to block. The name calling thrown at me for posting this is quite amazing.
