These Bears sure make a lot of penalties. Seems like maybe their coach sucks at discipline.

Nice first series for the D
I was wondering the same thing. And where would we get the replacement when all the good candidates are busy coaching or coordinating right now? Is there a currently unemployed great former coach looking to get back into it?
What would it take for the Bears to fire Eberflus at this point? Getting blown out by 50 next week? Showing up drunk to the podium? Surfing porn on the sidelines?
They have to start interviews for someone experienced to step in ASAP. If he won’t take a demotion to DC then launch him.
The Bears have the rare benefit of fans being OK with losing as long as the team is developing players for the future. But Flus seems to be scared of doing that. If his job is being evaluated on wins then he should already be gone.
The coaching staffs of the last several years would have broken Stroud, Lawrence, Hurts, Burrow. It doesn’t matter who it is. They’d either mess them up or make them want to leave. Let’s break the bank on replacing Flus and Company with proven, peak career winners.
I’d feel like we’d be in roughly the same situation we are now.
I’d also feel like we missed out on a generational WR to pair with DJ Moore but, hopefully, getting better at tackle.
I don’t get the snap problems. How is it not getting better? Can’t it be corrected? I get it’s a specialized skill but wtf?
I saw at least three Bagent passes that should have been picked off. He’ll get better but he’ll never be more than a backup. Fields will also get better (with better coaching) and can be a dynamic if imperfect starter.
He says he does. Or he doesn’t. There are some things about them he knows, but it is what it is.
Easy peasy. Stop playing against good quarterbacks.
