I’m going to mention something I never see anyone talk about. People give Poles a pass on hiring Flus but also give him a pass on keeping Flus and Getsy which I think is one of his biggest mistakes.

Knowing that we had a struggling/developing young QB he kept around a defensive HC that does nothing to help Fields and an OC that we all knew was terrible last year. Yes he got DJ and Wright to help but a young QB needs competent coaching. Poles essentially doomed Fields this year which was a huge mistake as a GM.

How embarrassing would it be to actually lose a football game to the bears?

See this is why I keep saying Poles should go too. He saw this shitty coaching staff’s garbage offense last year and decided that our young developing QB should be stuck with this clown coaching staff. Unforgivable.

I think it’s still too early to evaluate his ability to evaluate talent. He’s had some solid hits and some big whiffs. This sub also drastically overrates a lot of players on the roster.

My bigger concern with Poles was choosing to put our young QB in the situation of dealing with the coaching staff for a second year. He pretty much sealed the deal on Fields being a bust in Chicago when Flus and Getsy came back for round two.

I really don’t know that he would want to come here though. That locker room and staff have way too great of chemistry. I doubt he will want to play against his buddies when he can go to another team that is less dysfunctional.

The broadcast was so mad that the Packers lost this game too. They really wanted to do more Rodgers and Favre talk but instead got Cutler.

How does a team take their time finding a HC and OC over two years? That sounds like a disaster.

Correct. He is not the problem. He is one of our problems. He is lower on the ladder of problems but not that low. Hell even if you like him and think we should keep him he’s about to need a new contract that will require big money. That in itself is a problem.

Let’s leave it to the professional scouts. I’m thinking they might have a better idea then the 50 plus posts about this per week here.

Like he gives a shit. Dude is living the good life and that’s literally all that matters to him. Doubt he even watches the games.

Fields played well overall but has absolutely no clutch ability. Dude is literally never going to go out and win you the game. He needs to go.

I absolutely expect Poles to make a decision I don’t agree with. I haven’t loved the majority of his decisions so I don’t expect that to change.
