Ok so as a fanbase we always joke that the bears don’t know what the forward pass is. But I genuinely now think that Getsy actually has no idea that the forward pass exists.
“Poor predictable Bears. Bet Getsy calls another screen pass.”
“Good old screen pass. Nothing beats that!”
This might be a hot take but I still wouldn’t. We have arguably the worst head coach in the NFL, and without Moore and Wright we have a bottom 5 WR group and bottom 10 OL. We would be putting Stroud in the same position the Panthers put Young in. Neither Stroud nor Young would be putting up good numbers here.
Nabers Coleman and Odunze are all going top 20.
We also have no 2nd rounder.
I don’t think our pick will be top three and MHJ will 100% go top three. Panthers Giants and Patriots are all dumpster fires and Cards could finish worse than us as well.
If Justin plays like he did yesterday consistently down the stretch, would that be enough to earn the starting job next year?
Cole Kmet is very good.
We’re not getting MHJ. Patriots and Giants are also bottom 3 and could very easily take MHJ. We’re not getting a QB and MHJ and as great as MHJ would be we need a QB to throw to him.
We have Billings and two promising picks at DT. I wouldn’t say it’s a need at all, other than depth.
Honestly I’m kind of in between. I really don’t expect him to take a leap in the few games we have left, and even if he does play well I still think we could take a new QB anyway. That being said. I’m still rooting for him. I still think there’s a chance he can rebound. Maybe it’s just some blind optimism because he’s only been very good for like two games, and him being good means we can spend another first round pick on surrounding talent, but I still think there’s a small chance he can improve enough to be our guy.
He’s single handedly carrying my fantasy team this year
