I don’t watch college ball, but apparently this guy is really surefire right? Like he’s so good he somehow won’t be a bust or something?

No prospect is a surefire pick. Phrases like „safest pick in the draft“ are often enough complete bullshit. However I‘d be surprised if he isn’t at least good in the NFL

Prediction: They use one of the picks on a QB and trade the other one away for more picks. GM is fired after the draft and the new GM talk for the next 4 years about how THIS QB isn’t “his guy.” Fields is benched in WK2 next season and we ruin another 1st Rnd QB.

I think he’s a lock for the top 3, so we either need to use the Panthers pick on him, or he’ll be gone.

I’d love to live in a world where the Bears could trade from 1 to 3 and pick him. That would be ideal.

Doing this would enable them to do what they were hoping to accomplish when they still believed it might be possible to coach up Chase Claypool. So the their minds are already thinking in that direction.

I do believe it’s a guarantee that Marvin Harrison Jr is on the bears. NFCN will have the two best WRs in the league

Bears are 100% taking a qb if the pick is top 2, only chance they get him is if they have the number 3 pick since he won’t be there beyond that and their won’t be another qb taken before him.

Justin Fields throwing to MHJ might go down as one of the supreme wastes of WR talents in NFL history.

You probably also thought DJ Moores career was gonna be wasted in Chicago but yet he’s on pace for a career year. Foh casual.

I think you mean Fields running around while MHJ is open and waving his hands 20 yards downfield would be a supreme waste of WR talent.

The tone in this sub will drastically change if Fields has a couple shitty games in the final 6. I still don’t believe we’d be able to get a quality head coach is he’s gonna be forced to inherit Fields. MHJr. will not mask inconsistent QB play. He won’t stop Fields from having to run the ball 15+ times a game for him to be successful. We NEED to draft the best QB on the board, and if that’s Williams at #1, then so be it. I’d rather we trade down with our own pick, secure a 2nd round pick and draft Nabers/Coleman. Not to mention what we can get back in a Fields trade, if it’s a 2nd as well then we can potentially have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.

MHJ will make Bagent look like Herbert. Fields and MHJ is just unfair. Give JF QB#1 some time. Dude is 24yrs old.

Some time? He’s had several years now, we know what he is. He is not going to win you a Super Bowl.

I mean…the dude is 24. Gotten better each year. If he keeps getting better each season and and the team around him does the same he will be far away enough to win the bowl

His passer rating has gotten better this year. He went from Zach Wilson tier as a rookie to 2020 Mitch Trubisky by year three. Maybe in three more years he’ll reach Andy Dalton tier
