Kinda wish the billionaires of the world would at least bring back crowns. Like the cosplay aspect was one of the few fun parts.

New life goal acquired. Become a billionaire. Construct an absurdly lavish crown of solid gold and precious jewels - so lavish, in fact, that it makes the holy crown of the Roman Empire look as though it’s a paper crown from Burger King (home of the flame-broiled beesechussy). Wear this crown everywhere, every single day, in every public appearance. Set 1 billion aside to maintain your billionaire status, and live only off the interest to afford your Burger King sandwiches. Spend the remainder of your income (billions of it) on charities and other humanitarian causes. Contribute toward paying down or paying off entirely the debts of the poor and the working class. Buy Smuckers just to ensure that their jam continues being delicious and that the capitalists don’t fuck it up like they did Cadbury. Continue to act as a beacon of hope and good-will, but never stop wearing that crown until the day you die.

I understand the war, the pain, the stress and all. But you don’t handle an ancient object like that… You should feel the importance of the thing for all the human people, as an extraordinary artifact… Average extra ignorant USer, moreover a soldier one… Bleah

Waaah, waaah, bad US man touched an object 80 years ago and that makes me sad for some reason. Go get some real problems to be upset about.

I wouldn’t invest too much in arguing against that person. I remember reading their distinct style of insisting on writing “USer” instead of “American” and I assure you, they are too obnoxious and stubborn to be worth the effort.

Eh. The president of the US can offend tens of nations with “shithole countries” remark, and I cannot refuse to indicate people from US with a word that should/could address an entire continent’s population? I cannot do it, simple as that

To be fair morale could not have been that high in one of the worst modern wars in world history…least he didn’t destroy it.

Would you tell me what would be the difference between someone advocating the destruction of that artifact and taliban discussing the cannoning of Bamiyan’s Buddhas?

The crown of the Holy Roman Empire was not for the pope but for the emperor. The name might be confusing but it’s basically the predecessor of Germany.

Listen Leeroy, I’ve been killing Nazis for 3 months now. How about instead of fact checking my joke you put your big city learning to good use and tell me which of them paintings over there is valuable.

At least luxury cars are comfortable and fun to drive. This thing just looks uncomfortable and ugly with no utility.

I mean I sorta get it. Anyone wearing it is conveying that they can’t do anything practical or even tend to their own needs. Which means they have the resources that free them from it. Induced weakness to display strength.

Point is it still looks uncomfortable.

According to Wikipedia, after the Nazis were defeated in Europe, the crown jewels were returned to Vienna by U.S. forces where they are still on display today in the Imperial Treasury.
