Imagine a world where Roquan stayed AND we signed Edwards. I’m still hopeful that Edmonds can be elite when fully healthy and with a better pass rush, but so far he’s been pretty underwhelming for us

McDermott is far from perfect. But look no further than my Bears to know you can do FAR worse at head coach. They are having 1 awful season by their expectations after being completely uprooted by injuries on both sides of the ball. The Dorsey firing feels like a scapegoat and a bit premature, but I don’t think I can look at McDermotts entire tenure with the Bills and make the argument that he deserves to be fired into the sun right now.
Too many questions with fields. I say this draft looks fine. Give us a fresh QB with a competent coaching staff and we might be cooking in a couple years. We are a QB and 1-2 pieces per side of the trenches away from looking elite. I like this draft setup
Real test for our defensive line is coming. 2 of our next 3 games are against Detroit… that oline is no joke!
I’m 1000% ready to see fields back out there. They had Bagent over thinking shit so bad he was not noticing wide open receivers… looked eerily similar to JF1 earlier this season. Something is MAJORLY wrong with how this offense is being run, but that isn’t news.
Also worth noting: tonight’s matchup pits the first overall draft pick Bryce Young against an undrafted QB from a D2 school. Bonus for the narrative: the Bears own the panthers first round pick this year making this an absolute must win game to control one of their losses on their schedule. I’m ready to watch 2 steaming piles of dogshit dookie it out!
Fields 1 more year with one of the best WR duos in the league. Even if he doesn’t drastically improve and we are forced to move on, we could sign an average NFL QB and put together a competitive team
