one thing to call out that no one will acknowledge - Fields’ sack % has gotten significantly better even against the blitz heavy offense. 7.5% isn’t so bad considering last time we faced them he had a sack % of 28

hey all, just a little curious since it seems like there’s always talk about ‘the bears have never had a franchise qb’ and determining if Justin is the guy or not. Can someone do me a favor and define what a franchise QB is to me?

It feels to me like some people expect your franchise guy to be either top 10 or maybe even top 5… But only so many teams can have guys that good, the others have to make due with what they got.

For me - I feel like a fair definition is if a QB is worth extending. Thinking of it this way, there’s probably only 15 franchise guys in the league as well.

What do you think?

can we just fire getsy already? it’s pretty clear that his offense looks so anemic and terrible. both quarterbacks literally look the same behind his miserable coaching. we’d be 4-6 wins with any other coach/OC…

we’re going to lose to better teams, offense is going to go back to putting up 24 points a game (instead of 13-17 w/ bagent) but we’re going to lose because the teams we’re playing against are better, people are going to go back to saying ‘bagent is better than fields’ ‘wins are a qb stat’ etc.

our defense is so historically bad and it’s the reason why we lose games but no one will accept that and they want us to draft 2 offensive players instead

our offense was middle of the pack/above average before this week, despite having a shit defense which results in us having worse field position, less time of posession, etc.

I hope coaching is the issue w the defense, but i really feel like a few of our positions there (DE/Edge, DL) are pretty bottom of the barrel pieces.

Give me back the bears defense of old…
