I see the murders out in force in this thread, so keen to stop innocent civilians being killed they cheer on people…shooting at civilians.

Hamas attacking Israel civilians is wrong Israel attacking palastinian civilians is wrong Houthis attacking civilian sailors is wrong

Is not complicated and anyone who can’t see it needs to go outside and rub themselves in grass.

The Houthis only killed two civilian sailors since this whole mess started, which is two too many tbf but it’s not like they’re actively going over civilians here.

Whenever you go to ‘action stations’, meaning the ship is in active combat, you wear a fireproof hood called antiflash, which is designed to resist the intense heat of an explosion or deflagration. It means only your eye area gets 3rd degree burns, not your whole head.

Fun fact when your antiflash gets wet its just like being waterboarded.

Even funner fact, it used to be made of asbestos.

Nah, better to just stop the genocide. Avoiding the Red Sea is a very expensive ordeal since it necessitates going around Africa.

The Houthis are unlikely to stop any of the war crimes they were already committing before the genocide started, and appeasing terrorists by giving them what they want works approximately 0% of the time.

Note: I am not defending any genocide here - I’m only emphasizing how deeply stupid it is to think that appeasing the Houthis will lead to positive outcomes.

How does that have anything to do the current crisis? Also the whole “we don’t negotiate with terrorists” thing is basically propaganda meant to make the US look good rather than an actual successful political strategy, setting aside the idea of who is and isn’t a terrorist given that it seems to be “does the US like them? Yes/no”. I’d sooner call Saudi Arabia, their puppet government and the US terrorists for their genocide from 2016 to 2022 among other things; there’s a reason the US bombing weddings is a meme.

Also I’m not sure which part of the file you want me to read; I searched “war crimes” and didn’t get anything.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Since November, the Houthis have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in what they say is a campaign of solidarity with Palestinians during Israel’s war in Gaza.

UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said the Royal Navy frigate HMS Richmond downed two drones launched by the Houthis on Friday night.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the Type 23 frigate and international allies “fully repelled” a Houthi drone attack with no injuries or damage sustained.

French warship and fighter jets also shot down four drones to stop an attack targeting a European naval mission and a cargo ship being towed in the Gulf of Aden.

As a result, vessels using the Red Sea have been diverting around southern Africa rather than using the Suez Canal between Europe and Asia, adding to costs and creating a potential global economic risk.

The latest action suggests that despite repeated strikes by the US and UK against sites linked to Houthi activity, there seems to be little sign of the threat to shipping abating.

The original article contains 356 words, the summary contains 174 words. Saved 51%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

    How about uhhhh

    Stopping that Genocide?

Maybe some Palestinian can buy a ship then all of Europe will come to help. Apparently they only care about civilian ships.

This escalation is so fucking stupid. They could literally stop the Red Sea Crisis by just stopping shipments of weapons and all to Israel and the Houthis would call it quits with the ship attacks. They’ve made this incredibly clear.

But nope, bombing children is so important that we gotta continue this weird proxy war between the US and Iran.

They didn’t, no. What makes the Israel-Palestine conflict more in the Houthi’s interest in comparison to the Russian occupation of Ukraine is their ties and support to Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah.

And that Palestine is literally next door. It might be considered yet another genocide in the West, but people care much more in the Middle East. There’s a lot of popular will to do anything to fight Israel (the reason nobody’s going to war over this is the aircraft carriers and other US pressure), geopolitics or no geopolitics.

Nope, but Palestine is literally next door. Western people might not understand this, but people in the Middle East care a lot about the Israeli occupation and its injustice against Palestinians. They’re regularly referred to as “our Palestinian brothers” for example, while Ukraine is a country most people here only know by name.

Yes, westerners absolutely do not understand this.

The Red Sea is one of the main trade routes between Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, with Clarksons estimating that 10 percent of world trade by volume utilizes this route. This includes 20 percent of all container shipping, nearly 10 percent of seaborne oil, and 8 percent of LNG.Jan 8, 2024. Weapons don’t travel by ship, they fly.

They’ve attacked ships from countries that have absolutely nothing to do with that conflict.
