Tbh apart from claypool don’t really get the knock on poles. He has kept the bears in a position to succeed in the future with or without fields. No GM is going to be 100% perfect, and he’s stayed cautiously aggressive collecting valuable pieces that are for sure part of this core moving forward while inheriting a disaster of a situation from the last guy.
Even on Claypool, he gave the dude a chance to turn his shit around, dude didn’t, bam he was gone. Poles didn’t get all precious about it.
Eberflus and Getsy got to go. Poles is more than likely staying.

For all of the meatball , nuthugging Poles fans here’s some info. Poles replaced a promising mike linebacker, who was outplaying Roquan some weeks with an overpaid and overrated dogshit Edmunds. Poles signs walker to a big contract when walker was shit before coming to the Bears and still is near invisible. Poles signs Lucas Patrick who is completely useless. How about drafting V Jones?
