1. Fields + Harrison Jr. and Laiatu Latu

  2. Williams or Maye and Latu

  3. Harrison Jr. and JJ McCarthy + Harbaugh

  4. Another option

I’d be torn between options 2 and 3, personally. I think Harbaugh would restore respectability to the organization and might be enticed by the opportunity to continue coaching McCarthy, who is still really young and moldable. It’s easy to forget the kid isn’t even 21 yet and can still add a lot of mass to his frame. Personally, I’m ready to move on from Fields and start over, too.

Harbaugh strikes me as the type that would draft Williams or Maye if he thought they were the better prospects so u still get option 2 with harbaugh

The Harbaugh thing will never happen because he and Warren DISPISE each other from when he ran the big10

It all depends on how Fields finishes, where our picks land, and how much of the staff and front office we retain.

Idk about Latu specifically, but if you put a gun to my head and made me pick right now, I’d say 2, then 1, then 3. I don’t see the point in using valuable draft capital on a mid-first-round type QB when we have Fields, who I think is performing at the level you typically expect from a mid-first-round QB

That being said, I really hope that over the next 7 games, Fields convinces us all that case 1 is the best option

I want Fields to succeed with the Bears. I know he’s struggled, but I’m a fan of his, so I will root for him to turn it around. Honestly I kinda don’t want the first two picks because I don’t want to see anymore debate about Williams.

Agree, especially on the Williams part. I’ve never seen a highly-touted draft pick with “bust” written all over him as much as he does. My worry is we move on from Fields, draft another QB this year that produces, at best, the same we got from Fields, and then we’re back to resetting the team again in 2-3 more years.

Not gonna lie, 3 sounds like the best case scenario, but my gut is telling me it ends up being 1. Which ain’t half bad. Would be pretty bummed if we didn’t get MHJ

    Maye + Harrison Jr

but…if Fields can rock these next 7 games, go 5-2 and score 28+ points a game, then he’s a keeper. If JF1 just scores 14 or so point a game, and loses most of them, sorry, but thanks and goodbye.

    Maye and Bowers/Coleman

    Daniels and MHJ/Bowers/Coleman

Still have to see what Fields does though. If by some miracle he becomes a quicker decision maker and passes the eye test to close the season the best possible outcome is still Fields being our guy.
