That whole image looks like they just took a poster from 1930s Germany. The style looks just like the posters did in history class 🙃

This sort of realistic depiction of idealized subject matter was popular worldwide during the mid -20th century. It’s a style associated with propaganda posters, but also with Norman Rockwell Americana.

Its a style that can trace its origins back to the “Muscular Christianity” movement, which itself is the origin of modern toxic masculinity.

Usually masculinity movements are pushed hard in anticipation of war. Curious that Rogan, Tate, Peterson et al. have reached fairly widespread popularity among young men and adolescents at this particular time in history.

Of course, this could be a side effect of instability in society but one has to wonder.

I found a boat load of nonsense on that page, but, not this poster. Can anyone confirm this.

He should have his shirt off. I think MAGA underestimates the pull of homoerotic content amongst their fans. All those poor repressed conservatives men just dying to fondle Old Man’s Saggy Sack

Because it’s based on the core principal of exploiting an endless frontier of personal sovereignty through pastoral expansion.

Is there something wrong with the program itself?

Yeah the wording/poster is a bit cringe but jobs for young people seem good.

Programs that help people seek employment are of course good.

The wording of “Build your homeland’s future” in a silo is cringey.

However, with the current wave of ultra nationalism and the government pushing to “protect” the homeland from “foreign invaders” cringey is not the most accurate term.

Its a bit like calling molten steel “hot”

Especially since their ICE recruitment media IS ACTUALLY saying “protect your homeland” or thereabouts.

I didn’t want to use “resembling nazi propagada” since it’s just a generic guy in front of map, so I went a bit too far in the opposite direction with “cringe”.

They cut the Job Corps because those taking advantage of the program weren’t white enough.
