Finally, someone looking outside the box. Why isn’t the fanbase looking at data not directly in front of them? People were arguing between Fields and Bagent. I’d argue for neither. Dude, what? I mean we have some solid LB’s right now, but to troll on Roquan Smith is just ignorant. He’s, arguably, one of the best if not the best linebacker in the NFL.

That game was an absolute embarrassment. It was some of the worst football I’ve watched in quite some time. We barely beat a one win team, dude. Lol

I think what is interesting with a majority of the NFL fanbase, not just the Bears, is that they think a backup QB shouldn’t be able to come in and win football games. Lots of these backup QBs were drafted for a reason - they have / had NFL talent.

This is a similar situation to last year when Dak Prescott went down for the Cowboys and Cooper Rush came in and kept their season alive by winning 4 games in a row (I live in Dallas). Ultimately, Rush got his first loss at the Eagles in a close game. A lot of Cowboys fans were calling for Rush to start, which was just ridiculous to me. Prescott was / is a much better player than Cooper Rush - not taking away from keeping their season alive, mind you. But just because a backup comes in and looks good, that doesn’t make him the QB1.

TLDR: your backup QB should be able to win games for your team. They, too, are a professional football player.
