Yep, this is pretty much it. I’d also take Siri being able to read a summary of a question from the internet when asked instead of suggesting you look at the links on your phone.

If I ask Google “what temperature should the oven be for chicken wings” it’ll reply “based on blah blah site the ideal oven temperature for crispy wings is 425° Fahrenheit.”

If I ask Siri, she replies “I found this on the web” and supplies links. Okayish for if I ask the question on my phone, utterly useless if I ask on a HomePod or from across the room.

Same thing happened with the Lord of the Rings when they released the 4K edition a few years ago. It was such a nice surprise when it quietly upgraded to the new version.

Yes, but the lack of active cooling kills any chance it has at being a proper gaming device. If Apple made a switch clone, used an M3 Pro and had a good cooling system, it would almost certainly be better than the AMD Z1 Extreme handhelds.

But it would also be much more expensive, and there are a lot fewer games that would run on it, and it would effectively be DoA. Maybe Apple is trying to work towards that future, but it isn’t happening any time soon.

Not that Apple will care, but they’ve all but guaranteed that my next laptop will be a Framework laptop. Just need them to start using chips that’ll let it run silently 90% of the time.

My first was the XR in Product Red and now I have the 15 Pro in Natural Titanium.

I’d still do terrible things to get a product red Pro model. Especially one as vivid as the XR was.
