10 months agoAs soon as we decided to take a field goal instead of trying to get a touchdown on that last drive, I new exactly how the rest of the game would play out. I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this team take the “safe” play at the end of the game only for it to bite them in the ass.
The offence is working the entire game then you change it up at the last minute, never works.
If you avoid looking at stats and just watch the games, you can see how misleading stats can be. Sure, Fields made some decent throws Monday night, but 47% of his passes went behind the line of scrimmage. He had a couple bad missed throws, but even worse, he seems to be afraid to take chances or even see the open man. His instinct is to tuck and run instead of going through proper progression of receivers. Too often he is just standing there staring downfield not seeing anyone to pass to.
