The labels have the character’s name followed by 受 (uke), which means being the receptive or passive partner, or in BL slang means the bottom. Most underrated organizational system ever by the way. Please show this to anyone who claims that “unwoke” Japan doesn’t “shoehorn queerness into everything”.

    The same people who whine about the wokes colonising Japan consume yuri/yaoi/genderbending/etc stuff but think it’s okay since they see it as just fantasy for fetishistic sexual gratification purposes and believe Western woke activists are trying to ruin it with politics

      i mean it’s obvious they don’t read much yuri outside porn because there’s so much modern yuri where the characters bitch about not being able to be married, about their families being homophobic, about transphobia about fat shaming, etc. she loves to cook and she loves to eat might be my favorite yuri manga rn, it’s got a whole subplot about one of the leads figuring out her sexuality with the help of an asexual lesbian
