Say what you want about Ryan Poles, but this could be the best situation a No.1 draft quarterback has come into in a while. Roster looks like an up and coming one
I think the top quarterbacks in this draft has to look at the bears roster and say send me there

The O-Line is solid and will be better once we draft or sign a Center
Our TE1 is pretty good
Our WR1 is great
Very good Running Game with a decent RB group
There is nothing to be ashamed about on this offense and a Rookie QB with a good OC should thrive
Man I don’t think they should pass up on Harrison Jr. they need to do whatever they can to make sure they get him
Fields will be back.
There’s 0% chance Eberflus and Fields are back next year if Poles is kept (which I’m fairly certain he will be considering the Sweat trade + contract). People are already calling for Poles’ job and if he gets fired soon, he’ll never get a GM job again. If he goes down, he’s gonna want to go down swinging with a coach and QB that are 100% his picks
Poles set Fields up to fail and is now looking to scapegoat whoever he can.
Poles should be fired with the rest of this garbage regime.
I agree that the roster is a lot better than our record, but none of that matters if we whiff on our next QB or coaching hire. This will be the one of the most important offseasons in Bears history
The ‘pieces are in place ‘
Defense is really starting to lock in, offensive line is healthy and playing consistently well, and the skill positions are living up to the expectations. DJ and Kmet have been amazing, the RB room is still 4 deep, and I think Mooney is struggling because the scheme and JF aren’t involving him at all.
Add into that the fact we still have the most cap space in the NFL, really good draft picks that can be used for even more blue chip talent, and (hopefully) a revamped coaching staff ready to take the team to the next level.
I’ve seen a lot of media outlets say caleb will end up staying back another year because Chicago is “that bad” but I think that’s objectively false. Considering the #1 pick we have isn’t even ours, this isn’t a traditional “top pick is always the worst team” which doesn’t happen often. If I was Williams or Maye, I’d be happy to go to Chicago over NE, NY, Arizona, or Washington.
Outside of QB and OC, everyone else on this team is only getting better every week. I am very excited to see the new talent we add to this roster, and it’s not unreasonable to see this team go from 5-6 wins to 8-10 assuming the QB we get lives up to expectations.
Love fields and want the best for em but it’s just not gon be here probably it never was(fuck eberturd/nd his shitty principles)tbh that being said team inna good spot for the offseason
I think the first overall pick is just too valuable in trade to use it on a QB when we have a good young QB that we’re still developing.
I think Poles best shot is to hitch his wagon to Justin Fields for better or worse and use the load of draft picks to make the remaining 52 roster spots as strong as he can.
You know if we really had a good GM there wouldn’t have to be so many posts blowing smoke up his ass.
Definitley need backup depth at guard. Jenkins, while great, still presents a liability with injury history.
Drafting another QB is a mistake. Build around Fields and Bagent. Fill in other spots through the draft.
That’s quite possible as long as the QB prospect looks at the roster and not the coaching staff.
