Bears fans might hate me for this but the improvement of the defense is probably the main reason why I think giving Eberflus another year wouldn’t be a bad idea. To boot, if you fire him in the offseason you risk having to implement a different scheme that requires different personnel.
At the very least he is a positive asset on one side of the ball. The wins have not come under Flus but there’s a glimmer of hope there imo. I think Flus is a similar coach to Todd Bowles in Tampa. Both are excellent defensive minds but need to improve at certain head coaching responsibilities like clock management, situational awareness, ect.
