I don’t watch many Bears games and I know Fields is supposedly not great but holy shit I can’t imagine any QB succeeding with the amount of pressure he was getting so quickly last night. He had guys in his face before he even finished dropping back. If you all do move on from him I hope they figure something out with that OL.

i dunno, there were plenty of instances where he had a solid 4-5 seconds of his oline holding up. his inability to release the ball quickly was repeatedly so evident against the viking’s blitzing defense. i don’t think even the eagle’s oline could save him with how long he likes to hold onto the ball for a lot of these plays.

They showed a stat during the game. Justin Fields has had the longest time to throw in the NFL this season. I like Justin fields. He absolutely holds the ball way too long.

Yay that’s an average and most of that it is because he can extend the play. Last night was no 5 seconds. His avg is 3.01.

yes, he can extend the play at times. he can also end up scrambling way more than he should because he misses open receivers and gets sacked. we talk about just how often fields gets brought down behind the line of scrimmage and a lot of it is because he forces the scramble instead of chucking the ball away, or even better finding a receiver before he gets pressured (again after like 4-5 seconds)
