I have a dumb question/idea.
If I’m trying to get my QB ready for a blitz-happy scheme, as practice - would it be reasonable to have my offense practice against 12 defenders (1 more rusher than I have blockers) - to simulate my QB under duress + having to identify an open man with everyone “covered.” Wouldn’t this be a appropriate way to help my QB improve? If not, my question would be what is our OC + staff doing to get ready for this blitz-happy Minnesota defense?
Apparently they weren’t ready last time they played against the Vikings because we literally got sacked first play of the game. Unblocked defender in the backfield already.
Well everyone was ready except the QB, who forgot what to do.
