What do you think they do? I think there’s a pretty good chance the Carolina pick is #1. I fear they might scratch out a few wins and move back with their own pick.

MHJ is without question the best prospect IMO. I’d take him at #1 unless…some team is willing to sell the farm for Caleb Williams or Maye. That being said I’m not sold on either of those two. Take MHJ and the best OL on the board with the second pick.

If a team is sold on Caleb or Maye…trade back. I really think there’s a chance that Penix, Nix, or Jayden end up being more serviceable NFL QBs and that gives you the excuse to sit them behind Fields for at least a year while you re-evaluate with a new coaching staff.

TLDR: I think there’s a near zero percent chance the Bears draft a QB at 1, nor should they.

    Best case scenario is that Arizona wants to move on from Kyler. We can get the #2 and #20 plus more picks for the first pick. We get MHJ, an elite OL or Edge with our pick and someone like Bo Nix later on. Spend our ridiculous cap space wisely in free agency and we are contenders next year.

      Not sure whats more delusional here, the fact that you think Poles is gonna spend money on premium talent instead of a bunch of fringe starters bc “value” or that you think that this team can sniff contention with Fields as the starter

      Kyler’s contract is completely unmovable until the 2025 offseason. They aren’t taking a QB top of the draft, and they sure as hell aren’t giving up picks 2 and 20 to move up one spot. That team needs to fill holes rather than go all-in for a single position that they already have filled. They’re either in camp MHJ or trade back if he gets taken.

      This is what I think too. MHJ and the best OL/Edge available. If you can do that AND trade back it’s a jackpot. Even if you can’t…I really don’t think Caleb or Maye are the unquestionable answer IMO. Seems like there’s about 6 realistic NFL QBs in this draft.
