Let’s say Fields continues to play well down the stretch and the Bears pick up his option and ride with him next year.
I’d still love to see them draft a QB in the earlyish rounds. Not with a top 10 pick (unless someone falls into their lap), but as early as round 2 (if they get a 2nd in a trade).

Using a top 150 pick on a guy who probably won’t be better than Tyson Bagent feels like a waste.
Bagent came out and had one good game. He then struggled. He is a mirage.
We should not do anything because of bagent
Any backup will struggle. If you play nothing but good games, you’re a starter. Bagent didn’t make a ton of mistakes and didn’t look lost. Compared to a lot of backups we have had here, that’s improvement, not a mirage.
