Yet they’re 9 and 1. Hurts has weapons, an OLine, and a defense. No one is ever clamoring for Philly to draft a QB.

He’s 15/9 TD/INT (has 9 rushing TDs but many are the tush push) with 4 fumbles.

I say this as someone who likes Fields, but he wouldn’t get eviscerated after a game like this if he was playing like Jalen Hurts in all the other games lol. It’s pretty simple—star player gets benefit of the doubt for lackluster game while the player who consistently has games like this is more regularly criticized.

We don’t need to do this after every primetime game where a good QB underperforms. We’ve seen Fields play terrible and we’ve seen him play great. He needs to keep stacking positive games and get more consistent in the pass game.

Truthers have to do this. It’s strange. At least wait until after Fields has an elite game against a good defense. But pointing out fault in other proven QBs isn’t the way.

Deniers are WAY more obnoxious tbh. The “truthers,” for the most part, acknowledge flaws and still have wait-see attitudes. The deniers seem to pretend all of his good games were imaginary or the sole credit of other players and coaches.

This is grasping at straws because it’s too hard to admit we’re bad and there’s so many variables it’s actually somewhat impossible as a fan to be clear on the order of operations.

The only thing I’m truly clear on is that the coaching staff and ownership needs to change before I have long term hope in this becoming a legit franchise.

Given the coaching and health problems we have had this season, I want to see how he finishes. The last 3 full games he played have been good, but we need to see it week to week and some big time performances. At the very least he could land a starting job with some other team. It sucks because he has not been in the best situation for a qb, but at this point none of that matters. He just has to go out there and do what he can.
