Although this can safely be assumed, we must look at a few things.
This is the Lions fourth game against a team with a top 10 run defense. First game against a team in the top 3. Those games were:
W vs. Chiefs [#10 RSH DEF] - KC allowed 118 rushing yards (74 yds and 1TD to Monty)
W vs. Bucs [#7] - TB allowed 40 rushing yards (14 yds to Monty)
W vs. Chargers [#9] - LA allowed 200 rushing yards (116 yds and 1TD to Monty)
The Bears currently hold the second best defense against the run, allowing 3.2 YPC on average, and I think we will stuff the Lions run game and Monty.
That being said, Monty will still probably get a TD, Lions win, with Goff murdering us through the air. But ay 🤷♂️
It’s not so much Monty as much as it’s his o line.
You’re presenting this as if LAC is the outlier but actually TB is the outlier. I expect 100+ yards and at least one touchdown from him against us
Monty will have 94 yds and 1 TD.
Gibbs will have 39 yds rushing and 74 yds receiving with 2 TDs. Lions win 38 to 24.
coulda just commented on that thread
I sincerely hope they feed him the ball 30+ times. Not because he won’t chew us up but because I prefer that to Laporta and gibbs eating us alive.
Those are against teams that can score though.
I for one am looking forward to getting dominated by Monty and watching this sub make post after post asking us nobodies why we didn’t keep Monty as if we know wtf we’re talking about
Wonder if Montez Sweat will have some sort of effect on the Lions Oline. He’s my favorite player to watch rn behind Fields. Makes the defense watchable.
It’s a revenge game… we are fucked my boy
- Actual revenge game since we wasted the start of his career.
- Bald Head Aggression.
Honestly I’d be okay with both teams offenses revolving around Monty and Foreman
The Bears are not a top 3 run defense - I don’t care what the stats say.
It doesn’t really matter what he does. Bears running backs room is better than it was last year. Monte will run wild on us. Both statements can be true because we are playing the Detroit Lions not David Montgomery.
All I know is I will be watching the game in my #32 jersey because that’s the one the wife got me when I told her my favorite bears wore numbers 32 and 58
Sunday, Fields faces a Lions defense that has given up 30 points per game since Week 7, the most in the NFL.
