I still think teams would give up a mid to late first or a player of value for him. Sure. It’s possible, like there’s a non-zero chance we could get a 1st. Like when they detonated the first atom bomb. They theorized that there was a non-zero chance, a possibility that was extremely unlikely but not zero, that they would burn off Earth’s entire atmosphere. I put our chances of getting a first rounder for Fields about the same.

If he shows well—even in just a few of the seven games left—a first rounder is possible. More likely a 2nd, but he will be valued higher than Darnold was.
It only takes one team to see his highlights and blame the Bears for his lowlights. And they might be right.

There’s a lot of, “I can fix him” ego in the NFL coaching ranks. It only takes one, and there will be at least one out there who sees his athletic talent and thinks they can do better than Getsy.
And like…they probably can.
