    • Listing Fields as Doubtful
    • Fields won’t play
    • He could go through pregame workout
    • Fields has had no setbacks.

None of these items are mutually exclusive. They all can be true at the same time. You don’t have to “backtrack” to say any of these things.

    People need to learn words.

      That’s not true.

Saying “you might not play” and “you won’t play” are 2 different things.

      They contradict each other

He literally said, “Yeah, he’s not playing.” Then said he was doubtful. Then he said right now he’s out. He also said he was 51/49 on playing or not. Why do people on here try to defend this fucking idiot? The same guy who said the team culture is “awesome” after firing 2 coaches for HR reasons mid-season.

The man is just a clunky public speaker. Top to bottom the entire organization is poor at it from George on down.

Tyson Bagent commands the podium better than the owner and coach!

Why is flus such a pussy on the mic? He’s terrified of giving any info or hurting anyone’s feelings or honestly saying anything at all? Does he realize that giving away enough to sound like a real human would actually help fans sympathize with him?

If you listened to the press conference, it was basically so fields can be a game time decision.

Been saying this since the whole “I don’t know why DJ wasn’t in on that play” situation at the beginning of the season. Time and time again, Flus proves he’s out of his depth and completely incompetent.

Probably could have been more concise, but I understood what he said. I think it’s just more apparent that sports coverage has become the most caustic shit ever. Thanks Stephen A and Skip Bayless.

I ENCOURAGE YOU TO ACTUALLY GO LISTEN to what he said in the press conference rather than tweets about what he said. This tweet absolutely misrepresents the chronology of what Eberflus says. You may still think he’s an idiot but it DID NOT go down like this. Pretty disappointing that this is the level of reporting.

I don’t know who Josh Schrock is but I will absolutely be disregarding his posts based off how he laid this out.

Got it, fair point. I’m maybe giving him too much benefit of the doubt but if you take away that leading question or interpret that question to be “he’s not playing (under current circumstances)?” Which is how I interpreted it on first hear, I think it’s coherent. Again this is the way real-time conversations work but apparently I’m giving him too much benefit of the doubt.

When he was on the Vikings, wasn’t Brett Favre out for a few days, and then on gameday he magically felt better and played against us? lol

I don’t think he’s stupid. He just is a terrible media communicator. Doesn’t mean he communicates like that with players and coaches.
