Sam Howell is a below average qb and has him putting up above average stats. Also the KC offense has taken a nose dive replacing him with Nagy as OC. He has championship experience and is a brilliant offensive mind and also has ties with Poles from their KC days. He would turn Fields into a Mahomes lite MVP candidate.

Yah he’d fit right in. He’d have to get fired for HR reasons. Look at his history outside of football. That’s why no one will hire him.

Howell had first round potential back in college, I was honestly surprised to see him drop so far. He’s second in the league in passing yards right now and that’s with a trash OL. He is not a bad QB at all

Bieniemy is way better then most realize. Reid calls the plays but Bieniemy set the whole plan. If you go back over the seasons he was Oc you can tell he made a big difference. With Nagy before the chiefs were solid but not contenders. With Bieniemy they went the whole distance 3 times winning 2.

I live in KC and watch the Chiefs every week. The only reason the Chiefs didn’t win under Nagy and early in Pats career was shitballs defenses from Bob Sutton.

Bienamy is a plug and play copy replacement. Anyone looks good under Andy. He’s like Bellicheck, makes jokers look decent.

Apparently you didn’t read the whole comment. I grew up here and still live here. The facts are under Nagy the chiefs were solid but not true contenders. Enter Bieniemy we went to 3 count that 3 superbowls and won 2 of them. The facts support that Eb was the better Oc laying out the plan then Nagy was.

By your own argument Nagy is just a plug and play under Reid so what are you really trying to say?

Lets not forget that this is the first year Spags defense has been dialed in from scratch and not just getting everything going around week 8, thankfully so because if they weren’t the chiefs would have a loosing record at this point.

Good chance Ron Rivera is gone in Washington at end of year and if Washington doesnt hire Bieniemy as HC then i wouldnt want him as HC either. Honestly i think he is mediocre and Washington is middle of the pack on offense currently and they have no run game to speak of, which to me seems like the offense is very one dimensional. Give me someone else as HC.

It’s sad when middle of the pack is a severe upgrade from the current situation…. Like remember winning half your games? Those were such good times.

Doesn’t everyone dislike him? Doesn’t he piss everyone off?

Look, there has to be a reason he’s up for HC jobs every year, but nobody hires him. Remember the last time we wondered why a talented coordinator never got a HC job? It was Trestman, and the reason he never got a HC job before us is because he wasn’t cut out for it.

To be fair I think a big part of it was the Nagy effect. People look at KC with Andy Reid and question how good the OC actually is and how much are they a product of Ried coaching and Mahomes QBing. Nagy’s tenure in Chicago made that even worse.

But to also be fair, I don’t know anything regarding his character, so who knows.

Actually Trestman was a championship winning CFL head coach both before and after the Bears. He had plenty of HC experience but made a few crucial errors in CHI that he couldn’t recover from, such as hiring Mel Tucker and not tossing away some bad apples before the rot set in.

I like Bieniemy. Wouldn’t be my top pick but wouldn’t mind him if that’s the way the Bears went. But this is a crazy leap right here.

And looking for a coach with the specific goal of saving Fields is dumber than keeping Flus and Getsy around.

If we’re gonna target a coach for their ability to develop a quarterback, I’d rather it be Bobby Slowik from Houston. CJ Stroud looks elite and there’s no offensive-minded HC in charge of the team like in KC; Slowik runs the offense.

Are we seriously crediting Slowiks development skills for Strouds success after only 8 games?

      Maybe Stroud is just good?

CJ Stroud was already elite at everything they need him to do. I do like Slowik though, Shanahan tree + good resume.

Chiefs offense is the same, outside last year they had Juju being somewhat reliable as a 2nd receiving option, and now they don’t. Even then, the scheme is getting them open, and Mahomes is hitting them in the hands, they are just then dropping the ball.

Pace obviously has some history with him, so if they fire Flus and he doesn’t get an interview that would say a lot about Bieniemy.
