This will initially seem like a great hire because he’s young, he’s an offensive minded guy, and he’s coming out of the Mike McDaniel offense. However, he’s never had to call his own offense and probably isn’t ready to be a HC yet. He’s only in his second year as an OC under a genius who calls his own offense. He’s a TE and OL coach by trade. He will fucking fail royally and we’ll be in the exact same spot in like 3 years. This is what the McCaskeys do. They get so close to getting things right and then just left turn off a fucking cliff.
