    The city has just been giving its water away to industry almost for free for years and years. Hell the recently raised prices for residents while lowering them for businesses.

    Not sure why this article is so down on desalination. They’re going need it in the long run.

      Because the type of desalination they’ve been proposing is catastrophically short-sighted. They basically want to release all the runoff straight into the bay. You know where all the fishing and tourism is. It would destroy the city. For some reason they have not been willing to consider options of piping it further out into the Gulf.
