Electric vehicles can charge from a standard outlet. I would imagine if you gather enough of those panels that actually plug into a standard outlet, you could charge a car (though slowly). Your average EV can put on about 10 miles to its “tank” every hour of charging at 120 volts. I don’t know what the amps of those panels are though.
The alternative would be if the protagonist found a home with solar panels and backup batteries. These exist today, and are becoming more common. I don’t know if sodium ion backup batteries have a longer life than LFP or lithium ion.
Is there a conservative versus liberal heat map of Canada? I’d like to see if there’s connectivity with the US version at the borders.

I think modern apocalypse movies should show someone grabbing solar panels off apartment balconies to recharge an abandoned electric car.
That is one huge hood/bonnet. Makes me wonder how it looks under there. I bet it’s a lot more serviceable than today’s automobiles. Probably enough room to step inside.
1·6 hours agoThere might be a slew of still salvageable parts I would think. I guess the question is how salvageable, how complicated to recover, and how much those parts would be worth.

2·11 hours agoThis number isn’t that big when compared to the overall industry. CBS is averaging about 5 million viewers per night. In the 1970s when there was just broadcast, their average viewership was almost 30 million per night.
Netflix averages double of current CBS viewership of one program in just four days. I do wonder what the numbers are for catch-up views of cbs/paramount streaming. I doubt it’s enough to catch up to Netflix but I could be wrong.

Another example - the hit “Adolescence” got over 17 million views in a week (and 114 million for the month for just this program).

That’s what I thought too, but if you google it, w sound is classified as “open mouth” sound by the experts. To me it feels like lips vibrating as sound and breath come through (lips open/close/open as they vibrate).
