The thing about it all is that what he says and what he does or would do are different things. I watch the podcast often. They do love each other. Bob is a broken guy and I think they mentally they are in this attitude that they have to defend their side at all costs. It’s really eye opening listening to the podcast. The mom even admits it one time. The son said something reasonable and the mom played devil’s advocate, the son called it out and the mom flat out said she’s doing it because she HAS TO defend her side. That’s the mentality. It’s not about reason or logic, it’s defense and so they can go to absurd places and say whatever as long as they never concede a loss to the leftist kids.

My mother in law is like this. Hasn’t contributed anything to society in 30 years and leeches off her dying mother’s social security checks to pay her rent.

Great podcast. For people who don’t listen to it, keep in mind they do love each other. Their conversations do go off the wall.

Bob does love his kids he’s just a broken guy that refuses to give the left any consideration. He’ll say shit just to defend Trump. I doubt he ever would do any of it. But he’s just saying shit too own the libs. If you have MAGA family you’ll know these people do love their kids, they’re just fucked at times.

This podcast is a great listen. Please don’t harass the family, they’re elderly and saying wild shit but they’re still getting out there and having this conversation weekly which is a good bridge to hear their thought process when though it is lacking.

I had to read this like three times to check you weren’t pulling my leg on me.

At what point does leader worship and smack become more important than thinking about your safety and that of your so called loved ones? “Mom, Dad, son” in conservative families often times mean “I submit to my elders,” no acquaintance necessary. You can be broken, but “refusing to give [others] any consideration” is preposterous. You don’t even have to believe in public property, but bomb Oklahoma city, the city they, and his “side that supports Trump” lives. Aren’t they more than stupid? “Because he has a reason‽”

      He’ll say shit

And in conservative authoritarianism, you get whoopings for saying shit. I am sure he has had his share of beatings for talking smack about his elders to know to respect others. You don’t have to be this deranged to be this mad at basic decency. You can be derisive and still not bootlick this hard.

doubt he ever would do any of it

This is the core problem. They do, and they are supporting the Nazi Night of Knives (2🔗). Through taxes, tariffs, and cheer. It’s easy to order assassinations in comfort of your own home, watching Minnesotans suffer. It’s another being there taking lives. Both are still murders.

      don’t harass the family

I don’t think Minnesotans & Californians got your memo. Care to tell them why they should get violently murdered and abducted while Bob sits in Oklahoma laughing at his new snuff porn?

I don’t know honestly. There’s just bigger mountains in my mind. As flawed as Bob is and his wife I appreciate this family and their candid honesty. Bob is vile but I just see him as a broken kid. I want to root for him even though he’ll never change. For everything he says, I think it’s just for show. Bob at his core his a family man. He’s mad at the world like we all are at Trump. I’m not saying not to call his shit out but I’ve heard in a few podcast that they’re getting typical internet bullshit and it’s hard to hear.

          A broken vile old senile*

Bob at his core his a family man

As in “I rule over my children,” not as “I love and care for my kids.”

He’s mad at the [people that are not him]

like we all are at Trump

projection. I don’t want rulers. Republics, democracies, and monarchies need to be abolished forever. Trump only needs to be in a mental asylum, after the many kids he raped and genocided.

…ok, just to be clear…I know we’re supposed to have empathy for everyone, even those we don’t agree with…but are we SERIOUSLY supposed to feel sorry for these two when trump cuts social security, or medicare, or retirement funds, or whatever the fuck his next thing is? Are we REALLY supposed to feel bad for these assholes when the racist pedophile fascist that THEY elected comes back to bite them in the ass?

Because I’m at a point where I’ve begun to not even see these people as “people”. I see them as victims of brain rot, and targeted misinformation, and a decades long campaign to divide the people.

The only problem is, I could hVe a discussion in 2006 with a Bush supporter. I could agree to dissgree. I could still see them as people.

This? This is like if Hitler were in power, and people reacted by saying “oh, well, if Hitler wants to imprison and murder jews by the millions, I’m all for it. I’m sure he has his reasons.”

If these people want to support trump, today, in 2026, I can’t fall back and say that they’re still people. I can’t say they’re just misinformed. At this point they are essentially nazi supporters. At this point MAGA and NAZI are interchangable.

I cannot believe we’re living in a world thats rotted so far, that people are accepting this.

Honestly yes, I love this family. They’re doing something i think is very important. Bob is fucking crazy. But if you have the time give the family therapy episode a listen. It doesn’t excuse his attitude or things he says. What it does show is how broken he is though. He was orphaned as a child and he doesn’t outright admit it but you get the vibe that Bob has trauma from being giving away and the shit he experienced as a kid is stuff no kid should. At one point he says something along the lines where as a child he had to be useful or else his new parents would get rid of him like his mother did. Trauma grows that amygdales. Bob is in constant fight mode so of course he is MAGA.

They’ve been subject to dehumanizing propaganda for a long time, so they see the victims in these hypotheticals as subhuman and deserving of violence to maintain order. It’s what conservative propaganda is designed to do.

You don’t need to feel sorry for these people when they lose their benefits, but you do need to exercise restraint and not dehumanize them in retaliation. Not for them, but for the future. Cycles of violence are broken by making a world order focused on restorative justice, not by endless retaliation.

Who said we have to have empathy for everyone?

These people can burn. I hope whatever befalls them is a slow, agonizing death. They proactively cause harm to other people and rejoice about it. I don’t care if they get strung up and given one paper cut every 15 seconds until they bleed out, fuck them. And, yes, I realize the irony - but I could still write a 20 page paper on how their death is a net positive for the world and how the victims of their actions is a net negative.

You can still have empathy. You can still feel bad for them. But sometimes, even if you feel bad, the answer that is best for most is removing them from society.

If you have three kids, and one won’t stop biting the others, you don’t stop loving them. But you do have to separate them so they don’t harm others.

Damn that’s so sad. The moment we lose our empathy and call for other humas to just die, we lost our humanity.
