“One thing you’ll notice is the message we delivered around our products was not AI-first,” Dell head of product, Kevin Terwilliger says with a smile. “So, a bit of a shift from a year ago where we were all about the AI PC.”

It’s not that Dell doesn’t care about AI or AI PCs anymore, it’s just that over the past year or so it’s come to realise that the consumer doesn’t.

So after running a fraudulent commercial saying Dell AI can do your job for you, for a year, you think they’re getting it now?

I want them sued over that commercial, and nationalized if they don’t pull it. If AI can do your job, your don’t have a job anymore. And no AI can do even 99% of most people’s jobs.

I don’t want or need a damn NPU in a computer unless someone can get it to play games or do something useful. I wish it were an add-on always. Until then, I guess I’ll be building more machines.

In a way, you could argue that’s tantamount to dumbing down the technology for the end user.

No… All the commercials making it look like “AI” is the computer from star trek when it’s an infuriating waste of time is the “dumbing down”

It’s not that Dell doesn’t care about AI or AI PCs anymore

It’s not like Dell ever care about AI in the first place. All they always care is about money, and they thought AI would make them some.
