I don’t get it. How can people vote for someone who gives billions of tax dollars to for profit mega corporations, and takes away basic funding for the most vulnerable people?
They only see the propaganda. They don’t have a clue what is actually happening.
Some of them are fascists who believe vulnerable people are weak and don’t deserve to live. They’ll believe this right up until they need help, then they’ll make an exception for themselves and continue to believe it about other people.
this. Literally knew a guy who was against universal healthcare getting care from a charity. Its fine he get care from a charity and he deserves to get it but god forbid taxes are used to make sure everyone get care.

The move will freeze $7 billion for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, nearly $2.4 billion for the Child Care Development Fund and roughly $870 million for social services grants that largely benefit children. The states affected are Minnesota, New York, California, Illinois and Colorado.
California gives way, way, way more than we receive when it comes to federal funding. I’m guessing we’re going to halt some of the payments.
Maybe we can just stop paying federal taxes this year.
