    Explanation: Sisyphus was a figure of ancient Greek mythology who was cursed to forever roll a boulder up a hill, only for it to roll back down and him to have to roll it back up again.

    One must imagine him happy.

      Of all the different perpetual tortures the greeks had i’d take sisyphus’ over any other. Better than having your liver pecked out and regrown every day. Or forever being tempted by fruit and water but never being able to taste them.

        Agreed, it’s basically a simplified version of eternal life, and as a person who actually enjoys working, this eternal “punishment” is right up my alley

        Idk, Narcissus seems to have it pretty okay too.

        Nm, I misremembered the myth of Narcissus. I thought he was punished by the gods to never see his reflection or something. Def got the wrong end of that one.
