I live in that particularly odious senator’s state, and saw this on the bike trail yesterday.

That frame and rims don’t look like they don’t suck
Was thinking that too… Is this a funky bike stand??
i believe it’s a sculpture based off the way it’s welded to a sculpture
Thanks Senator Joni Hearse.
She has the crazy eyes. I’ve been wigged out by her the first time I saw her which was when she was elected to senate.
I hate her so much.
Every time I read this “let them eat cake”, it reminds me of what Luigi did…
actuary tables suggest trump doesn’t make it to 2029.
honestly I’m far more afraid of the shady-ass VP who is the bagman for Peter Theil
actuary tables suggest trump doesn’t make it to 2029.
Actuary tables say Dick Cheney should have died ten years ago.

But, now hear me out, about a barely-obese 52yo with a seeerious ketamine addiction?
The line of blood donor clinics I predict he opens in order to funnel the youngest blood into his own veins and ideally stave off ageing, even that’s gonna do nothing about the impending kidney failure.
Ket causes bladder inflammation, leading to infection and bleeding. Kidney problems, when they occur, are secondary to that.
And that’s just factoring in the ketemine and obesity, now what happens when you include the rest of his drug cocktail? At least Hitler had the excuse of getting gassed on the trenches, Musk is just a druggie.
Not shaming folks who like drugs but let’s be honest here Musk is filling his weak little ego with narcotics.
Trump can get away with what he does because of his cult, historically cults typically fall apart after the founder dies even when there’s a planned line of succession
That’s what I’m hoping
Tell that to Trump’s self contained severed living head in a glass container in 2070
More realistically… AI Trump.
They could feed all of his bullshit into a model, and have an AI Trump spewing nonsense forever. Bet it’d even take AI golf trips.
I think that’s called reddit
The hallucinations would be a feature.
It wouldn’t take many lines of code, or much of a lexicon, to replicate that repetitious blather.
Never drank or smoked. Probably quite a rarity for that generation.
There’s a good chance he’s lying about that, just like he lies about everything else.
He is a vile PoS. Even when Biden announced cancer, Trump demonstrated more humanity than Vance did. Vance has no chill and no human decency.

Whatever, the point was even Vance couldn’t do that. Started questioning Biden’s health before.
I was not defending Trump, I was criticising how Vance limbo’d under Trump’s response…
The fuck he didn’t.

I just learned that I am older than Laura loomer. Her plastic surgery made me think she was 50.
Holy shit she’s in her early thirties! Why do all these MAGA women get such awful fillers?
And Katherine leavitt is only 27
wtf she looks 40? Like she’s pretty but she looks way older than me.

Musk thinking all that Trumpism will go to him helps in making things make sense.
Was that a threat, or Elon just being practical. It’s funny either way.

It’s more surprising that these fuckers just happily throw all the dirty laundries on the street.
Theyre dumb narcissists with no shame. And they love attention.
So there’s this radio editorial from 1973 called “America: The Good Neighbor”, written by George Sinclair. I think a lot of what Sinclair described has been lost, unfortunately, but this line always pops into my head:
You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at.
I feel like this part is still true. For better or worse, as a nation even when we feel shame due to the behavior of our politicians we don’t try to hide it, pretend like it doesn’t exist. Our politics is theater and we all know it. It’s on display for everyone to see.
You can read the whole thing here: https://thinkingagain.com/html/american_tribute.php
It is an artifact of history, and just… keep in mind that it needs to be read and understood in the context of the time it was written. The Apollo program had just ended the year before, and US troops had just withdrawn from Vietnam. The Watergate scandal was current news and is specifically what Sinclair was referring to in the quoted line above. Martin Luther King Jr. had been murdered only 5 years prior, and the civil rights movement of the 1960s was a recent memory. It had been only a decade since John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
And there was video and live discussion of all of it just on display for everyone to see on the still quite new platform of broadcast television.
Things haven’t changed much.
I would say “where’s the lie” but he’s universally hated and he just injected like $20 million into the Wisconsin election and they lost because he’s toxic
He also lost because, in his mind, money = influence. He didn’t realize that even conservative Wisconsin voters do not react well to people throwing money at them to win.
We border Illinois and constantly deal with FIBs coming to our state, utilizing our parks, lakes, and woodlands, while acting like they are better because they have money. This is particularly common in the north woods where a lot of the conservative voters are.
Illinisians also think money makes them important. The difference is that we tolerate them because they are our neighbors, and we have a long history of hating on each other but also relying on each other - similar to siblings who disagree with how the other lives their life. Musk is a complete outsider and people were not happy about it.
Hey neighbor, Minnesotan here but new to the term FIB, mind sharing?
Hello Midwestern neighbor!
I’m not sure if I’m allowed to swear on this sub so if my post gets deleted, that’s why, but it stands for “fucking Illinois bastard.” It’s super common on the southern side of Wisconsin and the people from Illinois are often aware of it and use it too in a joking fashion.
Well consider that added to my lexicon! I have a few people that come to mind hahaha
I’m going to guess “Fucking Illinois Bastards”
I hope it’s a draw.
The plot thickens I haven’t been this excited since the first assassination. 🍿
“assassination”
You should read the mental gymnastics being performed either by republicans or by AI bots for republicans.
A giant circle jerk of Elon isn’t our enemy he just doesn’t understand politics and Trump does. On repeat.
And, Congress sucks, and because they suck so badly and won’t pass hardly anything, this big beautiful bill is the best bill to fix the debt we can get right now. On repeat.
Those two bylines are everywhere. It’s probably going to stick too.
I’m not convinced that is the case.
I am fine with this as long as it doesn’t take too long for Musk to follow.
YIKES:
