The rhetoric and goal of Hexbar are clear based on their announcement: to “dismantle western propaganda” and "demolish organizations such as NATO” shows that Hexbar has no intention of "respecting the rules of the community instance in which they are posting/commenting.” It’s to push their beliefs and ideology.
lol. lmao even
defederating from nazi instance: takes forever
defederating from socialist instance: does it before federation even starts
Moralists don’t really have beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child’s toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded. Centrism isn’t change – not even incremental change. It is control. Over yourself and the world. Exercise it. Look up at the sky, at the dark shapes of Coalition airships hanging there. Ask yourself: is there something sinister in moralism? And then answer: no. God is in his heaven. Everything is normal on Earth.
Levels of Liberalism even Mao couldn’t comprehend.
Lmao, my favorite reply must be the one talking about “muh echo chambers bad” while supporting defederating anything they don’t want to hear
The liberal brain is a sight to behold
Like, we literally don’t want to be an echo chamber. We didn’t CHOOSE to leave Reddit. We CHOSE a federated social media platform with the intent of communicating with other communities. This got derailed for a few years for historical reasons, but the intent was there in the beginning and it is finally being followed through on.
Yeah, the hypocrisy/doublethink/whatever you want to call it is mindnumbing lol
the hypocrisy/doublethink/whatever you want to call it

I was in the process of submitting revisions to the statement on Russia but the part that they took offense to wasn’t any of the problems I saw with it, but rather the one part I didn’t change that was just like “NATO and the IMF are bad,” where I was like, “Perfect, no notes.”

“Pushing your beliefs” is inherently against the rules, if those beliefs are critical of NATO. Lemmy.world is explicitly a pro-NATO community where criticism of the organization gets you banned. What a mess.
I had to reread that part because it was difficult to imagine a community that likes NATO and the IMF. It straight up didn’t register to me that the speaker took issue with your statement.
Turns out lemmy.world was really lemmy.globe-emoji
