Apple has insane levels of software optimisations. To the point where even though the sensors are worse it outputs as good photos as Samsung and even though the battery is worse it lasts as long.

The problem is that Apple only makes their products as good as the competitors because they have no reason to push further and actually make an insane value device like they did with the M1 MacBook.

So once Samsung catches up on software Apple gives you better hardware.
