1 year agoDoesn’t seem like it. Both my old and new MacBooks have this on certain wallpapers. Even my iMac has it.

System Settings->Keyboard->Customise Control Strip
Or control+click then tap open.
Do this from Finder, not Launchpad or it won’t work.
I used a cable I bought about 9 years ago. Works well and I get 4K HDR in 4:2:2
