210·17 小时前it dont matter if you left or right - budget deficit will kill us all if we dont fix. Trump import taxes were correct move - but he should have just done it through congress. now its stupid and out of the window and people are pissed only corporatios got their refunds

101·17 小时前I think hes doing it now mostly because Trump funded his oponent and kickded him out of congress. hes gone from there January 3, 2027. trump never forgave him voting against big beautiful bill
he would probably much more likely to support no minimum wage and no universal healthcare overall.
he might run in 2028

12·3 天前And once again, you people completely ignore the numbers. (which is why I give second option -** extremely naive** or reddit agent). you could just be naive I dont know
~750k accounts registered. ~35k MAU. That’s not me insulting lurkers or saying commenters don’t matter. That’s me pointing out that an enormous number of people tried Lemmy and didn’t stick around.
You can keep saying “people don’t want this,” but you’re measuring the preferences of the tiny fraction who stayed and treating them as representative of everyone who tried the platform.
Maybe reposts turned some people off. Absolutely possible. Maybe empty communities, tankie reputation, moderation, UX, federation confusion, or lack of content turned others off. That’s exactly the discussion worth having.
But “I personally hate your posts, therefore Lemmy’s current strategy is working” doesn’t follow.
And disagreeing about why a platform isn’t retaining users isn’t evidence of a “worrying mental state.” Attack the argument, not my mental health.

12·3 天前Not everyone who disagrees with you is a ‘reddit agent’.
yes. extremely naive was another consideration
see here: > People are either extremely naive or reddit agents.

23·3 天前You keep using “spam” to mean “more content than I personally like.”
300 posts across an entire federated network is nothing. A single large subreddit can do that in an hour.
Spam is indiscriminate garbage. Mine is filtered for relevance, score, freshness, duplicates, community rules, and quality.
And yes, your 3 posts in 11 months matters when you’re lecturing people who actually supply the posts you spend your time commenting on.
spam
I’m not posting Viagra ads, crypto scams, affiliate links, or promoting my own shit. I’m posting relevant content that was already highly upvoted by real people, then filtering it again for freshness, duplicates, relevance, and community rules.
Call it automated. Call it reposting. Call it too much for your personal feed.
But “content I don’t want to see” isn’t the definition of spam.

24·3 天前If all 35,000 MAU posted at your rate of 3 posts/year, all of Lemmy would generate about 288 posts per day.
just for the record - my accounts post more daily (>300 posts) than entire lemmy if everyone of 35k users were like you - 3 posts a year.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Quadruple moderation is killing lemmy. It’s a Gift to RedditEnglish
23·3 天前Exactly. Reddit barely survives with that ratio because the tiny percentage who post generate enough content for everyone else.
That’s literally my point.
You have 3 posts in 11 months and you’re telling someone else to post once a day. If everyone contributed at your rate, there’d be almost nothing here to comment on.
Reddit has millions of users, so 1% is enormous. Lemmy has ~35k MAU. Its 1% is tiny.
You can’t copy Reddit’s participation ratio while missing Reddit’s scale and expect the same result.
im reposting from reddit. I think original guy cut off dates not me
Rich yes, white - hell no.

12·3 天前People are either extremely naive or reddit agents. What are u lurker gonna comment on if there is no content?
Why do I have 0 posts in 3 years lol?
You are the problem

25·3 天前how many posts were there on Lemmy yesterday?
This is kind of incredible because you’ve submitted 3 posts in 11 months.
You’re basically demonstrating my argument for me.
You prefer commenting. Great. That’s valuable. But those comments exist because somebody else did the work of supplying something for you to comment on.
That’s the 90-9-1 dynamic I’m talking about. I’m not claiming to psychically know what every lurker wants. I’m pointing out that consumption massively outweighs contribution on social platforms, and your own posting history is a pretty great example.
And your solution is that I should limit myself to one post per day, while you contribute roughly one every four months?
If everyone followed your posting rate, this place would be a fucking archaeological site.
As for the “Reddit agent” stuff, I’ve repeatedly said I don’t think everyone who disagrees with me is an agent. I think coordinated manipulation is quite likely and Lemmy is structurally vulnerable to it. You’re free to think that’s ridiculous.
But maybe spend a little less time diagnosing what’s going on in my “noggin” and a little more time considering the irony of telling someone posting too much is killing Lemmy when you’ve posted three times in almost a year.

they cant change fundametals - device working against me is not MY device.
which is why - doesnt matter if they rewrite everyting in rust, it wont sell.
