The Graduate.
The Graduate.
Well China i guess you better not shoot at or get close to them then 🤷♂️
Its arguable that a significant part of the defeat of the Germans on the Eastern Front was due to the Germans loving to over-engineer things. Especially tanks. And had an obsession with having big guns on them. To the point they could only go 5-10 mph and if anything broke on it it would have to go back to Germany because the design was so weird/complex. Cant remember if it was the Rat or not, but there was even a tank where if you wanted to shoot the cannon somebody had to get out and unbolt it from the hull because it was so big it made it unwieldy to drive.
Meanwhile Soviets just said “Haha T-34 factory go brrrr”, and was easy enough to make and use that there are stories of workers completing the tanks and driving them straight to the front. Illiterate farmer Vasily from the Urals could help weld on parts and then go take part in the fight.
The Romans had 12 day-hours and 12 night-hours. The first daylight hour began at sunrise. The last daylight hour ended at sunset. There were no minutes or seconds tracked, but this means that as the length of the day got longer/shorter the length of the Roman daylight hours were longer/shorter. E.G. The hour of what we think of as 2:00 pm might be ~80 minutes in summer and ~40 minutes in winter instead of always being 60 minutes.
Damn. I was hoping for Cock-Pain.
Is it Japanese i am think of that has an exclusionary “we” form? Almost as in “We(all of US but not YOU) were invited to the party.”
Ladders too.
MLK was killed by the US Government/with Government warning and approval not because of his policies on race, but because his message was getting (though somewhat always had been) socialist/anti-capitalist, and between the historic fear of slave revolts, the new fear of communist revolutions, and the monied business interests not wanting to cede any power they ended MLK to prevent potential calls for a social revolution.
I would play it safe and wait for notes if spoilers for EW and its post campaign content are a big concern and want to be completely blind. Doubt they intend to spoil, but wouldnt be uncommon to hear something like “And since the release of EW 7.5 million people have made it to ‘Location X’ and taken on ‘Bad Guy’ in combat with the help of allies ‘X,Y, and Z’”.
Considering the impact they had on supporting the revolution the writers of the constitution oversaw and took part in it is a good thing France and Spain didnt have as many compunctions about providing aid.
Sounds good! Thank you for the response. Do you happen to know the brand of the sauce?
Looks good! What kind of sauce is it, and what did you out in it to spice it up.
Must have been an important call considering he was gone for over 15 years.
Just make sure you measure correctly.
A tale as old as Roman times
Well tbf the Storming of the Bastille was (off the top of my head) two monarchies, two empires and two republics ago. Not to mention any communes, committees of public safety, or directories. How can you blame them for getting confused?? /s
Final Fantasy 14. Started about two months after the latest DLC (Endwalker) came out, and last i checked was over 1700 hours. Got all current jobs including crafters/gatherers to max level.
Game is a bit boring/typical MMO at first, but really picks up as you get further in to 2.0 content and beyond. And the Community had been overwhelmingly great to interact with.
Even if not big into FF or MMOs i highly recommend. They have a free trial that lets you play the base game and first DLC (Heavensward), as well as level up most of the jobs to level 60 (out of 90) with a few minor restrictions on things like player trades, joining a guild and accessing the market board.
Youd be surprised by the number of people i have talked to that dont pick up on that.
