Fields has a say in the game plan. He has stated he worked with Getsy on the plays he’s most comfortable executing. They seem to avoid the tight window throws like a quick slant cause Fields won’t throw it. If this is the case than Bears have to move on.

Need to throw some screens. Get the ball out quick there.

Coaching is 100% to blame. But I believe a new coach with a high draft pick is most likely picking his own QB. Fields has not done enough to overcome the coaching deficiencies. It sucks but that’s the NFL.

I mean, he’s kinda the most important piece of building a competitive team. People are gonna talk about him until he proves definitively that he either is or isn’t the guy.

That’s kinda the reason for my post. I know he’s been injured but we’re midway through his third season and still talking about potential. He Intermediate game is still very much lacking and he takes too many sacks. Hopefully it was the OL that was the problem and he’ll prove the doubters wrong the rest of the year. I was just looking for examples of that actually happening in the past. Most people listed changes coaches/team. Can these coaches and Fields get it done and if not who goes. Coaches, Fields, both or give everyone one more year. I am rooting for him.

The constant with the list is change in coach/team. Kind of what led me to this thought was I’ve seen many suggestions that if Eberflus stays than so should Fields and there’s not a lot of history that shows that to be beneficial.

That’s why I was looking for QB’s with as many unanswered questioned as Fields has mid-way through their 3rd season. Not rookie.

I was all in on the year three leap and following the Allen and Hurts path when we got Moore. Justin’s personality and big play ability make it really easy to root for him. I completely agree he’s handed a raw deal to start his career which lead me to this post. Hoping for success for sure but also realistic that with rookie contract ending and high draft pick it will have to be a hell of a 2nd half of a season for him to keep the Bears from drafting another QB.

I think there is a very good chance MHJ is there at #5. Depends if the Giants take a QB after just paying Jones. But there are two OL that are very highly rated and I think one or both my go before MHJ. Arizona could go OL or trade back. Pats take a QB for sure.
