1 year agoHis dad seems like he could definitely be a nuisance to have around if things start going poorly, but that quote about equity was from the summer and got taken way out of context. Florio reported about it immediately after CW’s worst game of his career and knew exactly what he was doing for the engagement.
Definitely agree on some of the on field stuff being a far bigger concern. I’ll be interested to see what all comes out about him during the pre-draft process with team interviews and whether teammates/coaches vouch for him.
It’s interesting how in all of these Fields debate threads I almost never see his injury history mentioned. Even if we keep him and he does end up reaching his potential, that would include using his legs consistently which will always lead to taking hits, plus it’s pretty clear he will always take a lot of sacks.
Taking sacks isn’t the end of the world (Russ and Burrow also take a lot of sacks), and his mobility is one of his best weapons so I’m not saying that should just be avoided at all costs. Just feels like him having an injury and missing games each year since we drafted him should be a bigger concern than most seem to see it as.
